"The 2020 Underdahl Hardware Big Buck Contest and Raffle to raise funds for MRVO, Middle River Veterans Organization, was again a success this year despite having to make adjustments due to the ongoing Covid pandemic. We were able to raise $8,500 for the MRVO!

For several years, Middle Riverites have voiced a desire to recreate a newspaper for our community again - The Honker is here to answer those pleas. Hopefully, all these comments were sincere, because an endeavor of this undertaking will only be successful with the cooperation of EVERYONE - businesses, organizations, and individuals. It will be physically created by a few hands but it must be supported and given life by ALL. This is the first all-call for news, comments, questions, and support. We have several features in mind for the future but we are not all-knowing or all-present so that’s where YOU come in. I am officially anointing each and every one of our local citizens with a “Reporter’s Hat”. We hear the term “teamwork” in all avenues of life and this is no different - the communication lines must be open, willing, and busy! We hope you enjoy YOUR new community communication, The Honker!
