The Gators opened the week traveling to Blackduck-Cass Lake Bena on Thursday, defeating the Panthers 48-26. From there they traveled to Moorhead, practiced at Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton, and traveled to Lisbon on Friday to participated in a 2-day tournament. The Gator team placed 4th of 18 teams with Andy Dostal and Caleb Vacura making it to the finals. A highlight of the event was junior Tony Olson notching his 100th win. The Gators are back in action in the Swamp against Fosston and Crookston this week followed by the annual tournament held in Larimore.

The Gator Wrestling Team & Coaches got a pleasant surprise on Monday, January 27, when John Peterson stopped by the wrestling room and visited with them. Who is John Peterson? He is an Olympic Freestyle Wrestling champion from the 1970s.
