Relocating the County Highway shop and maintenance yard. Wow….This all started over the salt bin neglect from 20 years of elected commissioners in office, most were or had been farmers. Allowing road salt to wash on joining productive Ag land. We’re all guilty, we elected them.

Do we need a shop? Brian Ketring planned this new shop so larger the County property wasn’t larger enough. So Ketring, Swanson, Walker and Horner decided to buy property from the City for 50k and relocated to the Industrial Park.

This is what our County Commissioners allowed! Brian Ketring put his plan together, and sent it out for an architectural drawings. The drawing cost was $86,000 for this 49,000 sq. ft. shop with an estimated cost of $8.6 million. The Industrial Park will require a minimum of 25 to 30 inch depth of cored and fill hauled back over the complete 8 acres: it has a high water table.
