Consulting Engineers 3-3-21

Mn. needs more Consulting Engineer’s, not County Residency Engineer's….. The problem with each county having their own, they don’t have an authoritarian to answer to!! Here is the comment an employee from the MN. State Construction office made when I was complaining about Roseau County’s Engineering…... “Mr Jenson I take it you are not aware that MN. has 87 Gods.” The number of MN. counties. Then I realized the County Engineer can use glass and pit run gravel on public roads, regardless of what MN. State Road Specification have in print….. I ask why isn’t a County Engineer required to have their own private bonding insurance?

My note: After years of complaining to our county commissioners who only support the engineer. When complaining to the District and State office, they turn you off. Why, because they all have the same Government job protection bubble that lacks accountability.

A private Consulting Engineering firm can represent as many county’s as they feel they are capable of…. This would create competitive bidding between Consulting Engineering firms…. With the internet there is no needs for a full time Engineer!!
