Paul Everett Magner

Paul Magner, 54 of Newfolden, MN passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 5, 2020 as the result of an automobile accident. A gathering time for family and friends to celebrate Paul’s life will be held from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN.

Paul Everett Magner was born March 25, 1966 in Thief River Falls, MN the son of Donald and Bonita “Bonnie” (Johnson) Magner. He grew up in Thief River Falls and attended Lincoln High School.

On September 9, 1989, Paul was united in marriage to Judy Lind in Thief River Falls, MN and to this union three lovely daughters were born, Chaslin, MacKinzie and Zoey. He worked several places throughout the years including Arctic Cat, Davidson Construction, Minn-Dak, and most recently was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator for R.J. Zavoral & Sons. Paul enjoyed working on and collecting vintage snowmobiles, 4-wheeling, hunting and watching sports. For many years, Paul traveled with Corey Davidson’s snowmobile racing team and put many hours doing mechanical work.

He was a very social, fun, happy guy who enjoyed giving people a hard time. He loved cooking and entertaining and making people happy through their stomachs. Paul enjoyed hunting and spending time at the cabin near Middle River, following his daughters in their sporting activities, and has organized many vintage snowmobile rides in the area. Survivors include his wife, Judy of Newfolden; daughters, Chaslin (Steven) Janzow of Thief River Falls, MacKinzie (Tyler) Schulz of Thief River Falls and Zoey Magner of Newfolden; grandchildren, Charlotte Schulz and Baby Schulz due March 2021; parents, Donald and Bonnie Magner; siblings, Kent Magner of Thief River Falls, Nathan Magner of Slidell, LA, Joshua Magner of Hobart, IN, and Kelly (Brian) Gillund of Middle River, MN; niece, Chloee Magner of Slidell, LA; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lucille & Abner Johnson and Agnes & Glen Magner.
