Doris Klamar

Doris May Klamar was born on February 7, 1937 to Ulric and Marie (Kavanaugh) Fugere in Bottineau, ND. She grew up there and graduated from Bottineau High School.

She met Harold Klamar and they married December 27, 1957 in Thief River Falls, MN before moving to Tennessee where Harold completed his service for the United States Army. After his service they moved back to Harold’s family farm in Gatzke, MN.

Doris was a devoted farm wife, there was not a job she wasn’t willing or capable of doing and she was involved in every aspect of the farm. Doris was an avid gardener and canner, she was also a gifted seamstress and made clothing for all of her children. She loved crocheting and embroidery work, she would make blankets and quilts for everyone in her family. Doris enjoyed reading books, cooking and baking, she would never let you come to visit and leave hungry. You could see through her hard work, selflessness, and deep faith just how committed she was to her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Klamar; grandson, Ben Mosbeck; parents, Ulric and Marie; brothers, Donald, Dean and Delbert; and sister, Dorothy Buelow.

Doris is survived by her children, Darwin (Fiancé Jill) Klamar, Inez (Greg) Settelmeyer, Sanford (Colleen) Klamar, Valerie (Corey) Chandler; grandchildren, Amber Knetter, Heather (Drew) Monson, Gus Settelmeyer, Alex Settelmeyer, Rachel (Steve) Lindstrom, Ryan Klamar, Jessica (Mark) Weaver; great-grandchildren, Brynn Monson, Myles Monson, Brylie Monson, Lauran Lindstrom, Michael Lindstrom, Nicholas Lindstrom, Charleigh Knetter, Pyper Knetter, McKensie Knetter, Grayson Mosbeck, Jaxon Mosbeck, Ady Lindquist, Owen Kroll, and Eli Kroll.
