Donna “Dixie” McNally

Donna “Dixie” Mae McNally, 73, of Bemidji, MN began her final journey Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at her home.

Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Bemidji Baptist Church in Bemidji with Pastor Jim Mucerino officiating. The Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji assisted the family.

Donna was born on June 22, 1950 in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, the daughter of Milford and Clara (Olesen) Gram. She was raised and educated in Middle River, graduating from high school there in 1968. Donna attended the Ramsey Community College with a technologist degree. She has worked at St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center in Sioux City, IA and at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, PA. She retired from Paoli Hospital in 2015 and married James McNally on Feb. 29, 1992 in King of Prussia, PA. Donna was active in the American Legion Auxiliary in Philadelphia. She moved to Bemidji to be close to family and rest in her native state and was active in the Bemidji Lion’s Club.

Dixie enjoyed scrap booking, seamstress/sewing, being a Grandma and Great Grandma, Face Timing, coffee ice cream, nature lover, playing cards, photography, softball, volleyball, traveling, taking cruises, camping, downhill skiing and spending time at seasonal campgrounds in her RV.

Dixie is survived by her daughter Jolie Golphenee of Hoquiam, WA, 3 Grandchildren Alexis Golphenee of Tumwater, WA, Shane Golphenee of Hoquiam, WA, Maddison McConnell of Schwenksville, PA, 3 Great grandchildren Kohen, Weslin, Rylan, Stepchildren Laura and Kevin McNally of Lancaster, PA, Brothers Dale and Kay Gram, and Sisters Bev Hough, Lois Anderson, Pat Thompson.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jim, brother Duane Gram and sister Polly Englund.

Feel free to wear red or teal. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials or potted plants.
