Debra (Debbie) Osborne, 66 of Thief River Falls, MN passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 16th, 2022 in her home surrounded by her loving family after a 3.5 year battle with pancreatic cancer.

A Private Family Visitation took place from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Friday, August 19, 2022, and a Private Family Prayer Service followed at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls.

Funeral Services were held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN, with Rev. Sheila Michaels officiating. Burial followed at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls. Visitation was held from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church.

Debra Kay Jesme was born on October 30, 1955 in Thief River Falls MN to Floyd and Janis (Aune) Jesme. She was baptized and confirmed at Thief Lake Lutheran Church. She attended Middle River High School graduating in 1973. After high school she moved to Detroit, Michigan to live for two years. After returning to Middle River, MN she met and married Glen Fugleberg on July 12, 1975. During their marriage, Debbie and Glen were blessed with two daughters BreAnn and Tera. Glen passed away in November 1986.

On June 19,1987, Debbie married Royal Osborne in Alaska and together they were blessed with Chelsey and Jordan. During her children’s school age years, Debbie enjoyed helping at the church as a teacher for Sunday school and confirmation classes.

In June 1993, Debbie and her dear friend Becky Dicken opened Sheers Beauty Salon together. Later she proceeded to work numerous jobs throughout Thief River Falls until she found her place at Digi Key Electronics in November 2002. She enjoyed working there until her retirement in 2019. Debbie and her husband Royal also managed Country Acres apartment buildings in Thief River Falls from 2008-present.

Family and friends meant the world to Debbie. She looked forward to gathering for meals, holidays and most of all her family vacations, which she loved. Debbie always made sure there was enough food, and everyone was enjoying themselves. She laughed and smiled with every bit of joy around her, often staying up as late as she could just so she wouldn’t miss anything. She loved coffee dates and getting her nails done, baking Christmas cookies, social events, bingo, flowers and music. Debbie lived an active lifestyle by going to the fitness center and walking with friends while tracking her steps on her FitBit. She also loved exchanging new healthy recipes with her loved ones. She enjoyed traveling to visit family in Arizona, Alaska, Grand Rapids and an annual Femme Fatale four wheeling event in Warroad, MN. Debbie enjoyed giving gifts to her loved ones and took pride in choosing a special gift for each person or event. She always picked the most heartfelt cards and wrote the sweetest messages in perfect penmanship. She loved her lipstick, and her smile was contagious. Her laughter brought smiles to all that were around her.

In March 2019 Debbie was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Debbie was determined to fight the odds and the cancer and immediately began chemo. After her diagnosis, Team Debbie was formed to surround her with love and support through her journey. During this battle she had many ups and downs but was always brave, positive and an inspiration to so many people.

Survived by her loving husband Royal; her daughters BreAnn (Justin) Walseth, Chandler, AZ, Tera (Travis) Collins, Chelsey (Dana) Dallmann and her son Jordan (Rylie) Osborne, Thief River Falls, MN; Grandchildren Boston and Milana Walseth, Masson and Myles Collins and Ellie Dallmann; parents Floyd and Janis Jesme, Thief River Falls, MN; siblings, Keith (Denise) Jesme, Thief River Falls, Terry (Laurel) Jesme, St. Louis Park, MN, Diann (Greg) Anderson, Warroad, MN and Myron (Rose) Jesme, Thief River Falls, Julie (Bill) Randolph Grand Rapids MN; sister in-laws Rose Sollid, Thief River Falls MN, Patty Pieterick, Willmar, MN and Sandy (John) Stauffenecker Greenbush, MN; and numerous relatives and friends.

Debbie was proceeded in death by her first husband Glen Fugleberg; her mother and father in-laws Vernon and Joan Fugleberg; Al and Mae Osborne; brother in-laws James Fugleberg and Henry Sollid; grandparents William and Alice Jesme and Olaf and Paula Aune.
