Charlotte Koehmstedt

Charlotte Irene Koehmstedt, the daughter of the late Harvey & Irene (Lemay) Long, was born on June 13, 1948 in International Falls, MN. She graduated from Falls High School in 1966 and was united in marriage to David Koehmstedt on February 16, 1968, in Sisseton, SD. She lived on the family farm in Strathcona, MN until her death. She also worked at Marvin Windows & Doors for many years in Warroad, MN. She enjoyed spending time with family & friends, she also enjoyed going to casinos where she often won. She passed away at home surrounded by her family on Monday night, August 8th, 2022, at the age of 74.

She is survived by her children: Tracey (Punky) Olson of Warren, MN; David Jr. (Stephanie) of Gray Summit, MO; Richard of Strathcona; Kimberly of Mosinee, WI and Daniel (Amy) of Loveland, CO; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters: Bernice (Ernie) Buchner of International Falls, MN; Elaine (Dan) Hutchinson of Marysville, WA; Debbie (Dan) Campbell of Puyallup, WA and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; sisters Cecelia and Joyce; brothers Charles, James, Harvey Jr., Larry, Ronald, and Duane; grandsons Jeremy & Chris; and great granddaughter Emma. Services will be held Saturday August 27th, 2022 at 10:30am at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Middle River, MN. Interment will be at Huntly Township Cemetery.
