Beverly Holm

Beverly Jean Stenberg was born July 24, 1930 at Greenbush, MN, the oldest of three children to Arthur Selmer and Myrtle Olive (Paulson) Stenberg. She was baptized September 21, 1930 by Pastor E. Bonnevie Kluver and confirmed on June 18, 1944 by Pastor E.E. Tollefson at Pauli Lutheran Church in rural Greenbush. She graduated from Greenbush

She graduated from Greenbush High School in 1947 and attended Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. She moved to Thief River Falls in September of 1948 and began work at Land O’ Lakes Creamery where she met her future husband Roy Holm. On October 21, 1950, Beverly and Roy were united in marriage at Trinity Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls. They were married over 62 years until Roy’s death on June 28, 2013.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, excellent homemaker, and took pleasure in knitting. As a detail oriented person, Beverly excelled at her employment opportunities including Union State Bank, Trinity Lutheran Church, Northwestern Hospital, Thief River Chamber of Commerce, Executive Director of Thief River Falls Housing and Redevelopment Authority, and Green Funeral Home. She was active at Trinity Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, was the Church Women’s President, a member of the Trinity Board of Deacons, and secretary for the 1972 and 1991 Billy Graham Crusades.

Beverly Holm, 91 of Thief River Falls, MN, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Thief River Care Center in Thief River Falls, MN.

A gathering to celebrate Beverly’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. Terri Cuppett officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls, MN, in the Spring.

Beverly is survived by three children: David (Cathy) Holm of Oconomowoc, WI; Barbara (Brad) St. George of Thief River Falls, MN; Stephen (Barbara) Holm of Middle River, MN; seven grandchildren: Courtney (Mike) Steinhafel of Madison, WI; Christine Holm of Madison, WI; Lexie (Kevin) Bakken of Thief River Falls, MN; Aaron (Kelly) St. George of Fargo, ND; Larissa (Brett) Willett of Detroit Lakes, MN; Breanna (TJ) Super of Perham, MN; Jordan (fiancé, Whitney Smith) Holm of Cavalier, ND; ten great grandchildren: Brock and Wesley Steinhafel; Tia Bakken; Hazel St. George; Gabriel and Grant Willett; Tate, Carson, Eric, and Emmett Super; one brother: Arthur Stenberg of Maple Plain, MN, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roy Holm, sister and brother-in-law: Joan and Jerry Salveson, and sister-in-law Gerry Stenberg.
