Mark Stromsodt opened his final city council meeting on January 6, 2021 before retiring from the office of Mayor of Middle River. He was first elected to the position in 2000, served 12 years, took 4 years off and returned to the position in 2016 until 2020 for a total of 16 years or 8,409,600 minutes!
