Another step to a theatre dream! The track and rails have been installed at the Middle River Community Theatre. Heading up the project was Ryan Davis (right) of Thief River Falls, an employee of Minnesota Northern Railway with offices at the Holt ILS building. Looking for a helper, he called up his buddy Dickie Johnson (left) of Thief River Falls and he was anxious to return to his home town to help out. The project is yet another step in the acquisition of a caboose donated by Frank Nesbit, owner of Independent Locomotive Service and part owner of Minnesota Northern Railway. It has been a dream come true for the local theatre and the completion is in sight. The caboose is being painted by local refurbisher, Randy Rose and will be moved by Davidson Construction after arriving in Middle River via Minnesota Northern Railway at a later date.

Tom Super, an old railroad engineer who started his career on a section gang was on hand to give a little help and advice. And of course, share some stories! More railroad on Page 4.

Ryan took the controls of the boom truck, a machine he operates for the Minnesota Northern Railway.
