Christmas Day evening, Clyde and I sat and watched television after everyone else went to bed. We were both enjoying the quiet time after major events that always seem incredibly quiet-maybe even sad. Our Christmas Eve ended without the many guests for which we had planned, but it still seemed like a great event, accompanied by the typical letdown.

I have been trying to gather a few things I have learned from the past year. I wish I had done this as I went along, however, most of this knowledge only recently presented itself. It’s like mining for precious metal, you must dig a lot of aggregate before you find something worth keeping. In my case, it took a year of living and pressure to make a few tiny diamonds from all that coal.
