The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 444 celebrated the 101st birthday of the organization Monday evening. Marshall County Central Construction students are hard at work finishing up the tiny house project from last spring. Construction was halted when students moved to distance learning. This year’s fall class picked up from where things left off.

Parishioners of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church of Thief Lake have served a well-known Lutefisk supper every fall. This dinner took on a different look this year with the Covid concern. The dinner was served out of the Middle River American Legion as a take-out meal with the menu consisting of mealballs, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, rolls, beverage and dessert. A display of t-shirts was available for sale which featured a design tauting the famous homemade lefse of Our Saviors. More Our Saviors on Page 3.
Through the GENEROUS donations made by several wonderful people, Badger School’s 2nd Graders will be reading in style all year! Donations were made to the class’s Scholastic Book fund that will allow each of the 16 Second Grade students to pick out a book of their choice for each month of the 2020-21 school year! You can’t see their smiles, but they were all very excited to get their first book of the year! Thank you so much to all our donors!
