Linert grabs third win, Holtan and Nelson get first wins at Greenbush Race Park

It was a hot muggy night for the Wissota PolyDome Dirt Track Series at the Greenbush Race Park this past Saturday, but that didn't keep away the drivers or fans as 70 cars signed in at the pit gate.

This night was in rememberance of Brad Wall a young Street driver who raced quite often at the Race Park that lost his life this past March in an auto accident. Art Linert of Badger, Mn., would lead the 15 car field to the green and was in control early. Through three early cautions, the last coming on lap six, Linert was out in front of the pack and was never challenged for the top spot. There was still plenty of great racing going on behind the leader between Chase Boen of Karlstad, Mn., and Jesse Teunis of West St. Paul, Mb., for the second and third spot, and a four car battle for the fourth through seventh spots between Mike Olson of Lancaster, Mn., Trey Hess of Lakota, N.D., Jeremy Gust of Strathcona, Mn., and Ryan Johnson of Karlstad, Mn. When the checkers flew it was Linert picking up his third win of the year and a sweep of the night. Boen was able to hold off Teunis for the second spot, and Teunis would finish third. Johnson would win his heat with the other heat win going to John Halvorson of Warren, Mn.
