Tom Jerome assigned Superintendent’s position at Roseau School District #682
On Friday, May 4, Roseau School Board Chair Pete Kvien announced the finalist for the school superintendent position in a meeting that was open to the public in the boardroom. On Thursday evening, the board had separately interviewed candidates Tom Jerome and Kevin Ricke. Then, on Friday, the board members interviewed Beth Zietz. Following a break after her interview, the board discussed at length each of the candidates’ strong suits.
The board, in a unanimous vote, made a motion to offer a contract, contingent on a background and reference checks, to Tom Jerome, Superintendent of Greenbush/Middle and Badger school districts.
On Wednesday, May 8, the school board voted 6-0 to approve Jerome’s contract which will officially begin July 1. He will replace Larry Guggisberg, long-serving Roseau School Superintendent.
