Newfolden Elementary Participates in Veteran’s Day Activity

Due to COVID 19 Emergency Orders, the New folden Veteran’s Day Program could not be held. Legion Post 427 still wanted to sponsor an activity/contest for the elementary students in place of this year’s program. The topic of the contest this year was: “What does Veteran’s Day Mean to Me?”

Grades K-3 participated in a Drawing Contest and Grades 4-6 participated in a short essay contest. The local Newfolden Senior Citizen Club served as judges and the Legion awarded a first, second, and third prize to winners in each grade.

The winners and the MCC School District would like to thank our Veterans for ALL that they have done for us. You will not be forgotten!
