Home for the Holiday Celebration November 30th & December 1st

The City of Newfolden and the Home for the Holidays Committee presents the fourth annual Home for the Holidays Celebration on November 30 & December 1, 2018 in Newfolden. This year’s event promises to be bigger and better and full of Holiday cheer! This is an event for all ages! Come and join us as we gather together to create memories and celebrate the beginning of the holiday season.

The festivities are kicked off Friday evening. Attend Christmas Tureky/Ham Bingo and Bars at 7:00 PM at the community center. All proceeds benefit the MCC After-Prom fundraiser.

Saturday’s events are many! The Christmas Vendor Show is growing and this year boasts the largest numbers of vendors so far! It is scheduled from 11:00 to 4:30 pm at the MCC High School gym. Shop or dine throughout the day at one of the local, downtown businesses. See all they have to offer, including free sampling of hot cocoa, apple cider, coffee, lefse, old fashioned Christmas candy, Sugar cookies, and a Cup O’ Chili! Register for many door prizes, including hundreds of dollars in Newfolden Bucks; register once at every business you visit. Families can also pick up an elf-report at participating businesses or at the Elf station at the MCC High School. Elves are hiding in Newfolden! Find one of 6 elves hiding at the various businesses, get a stamp or signature while you are there, and return your elf report for a chance to win even more prizes! This year, specially marked Baby Rudolph stuffed animals are also hiding at these locations; if you find one it is yours to keep!
