First Annual Ice Harvest 440 Vintage Ice Ovals Race in Detroit Lakes

There’s never an end to Randy Cwikla’s enthusiasm for vintage snowmobiles and racing! He’s at it again as he now has an interest in the Detroit Lakes area. He and wife, Sandy, purchased the AmericInn there, signing the papers on August 31st and taking over the enterprise on September 1st of 2017.
The Cwiklas have a manager for their Detroit Lakes venture…Jeff Jasperson. Wouldn’t you know it? Jeff is a racing buff, too, and every bit as enthusiastic as Randy is. Between the two of them, they came up with the idea of having a vintage race during the famed Ice Harvest Festival in Detroit Lakes. Hence, the name…Ice Harvest 440 Vintage Ice Ovals.
