Farewell to the Middle River Mud Run

The first Mud Run was held on September 27th, 2014 during Goose Fest in Middle River. The pit was dug on the old Legion field off of County Road 6. Committee member Diane Wappula put in a lot of time to get a pit big enough with access to enough water to be able fill it. The hole was 80 x 300 feet long and water was piped across County Road 6 from a fire hydrant. The proceeds from the first year went to the Middle River American Legion Post 444 and the Mud Run was held every year after through 2018.
