City Workers Keeping Middle River in Tip Top Shape!

City Maintenance director Aaron Erickson is pictured with the summer employees, Brooklyn Melcher and Jake Knutsen. Both are students at MCC, Brooklyn will be a junior, and Jake will be a senior. Jake is also the summer recreation assistant baseball coach. Aaron is pleased with these young workers saying, “they are darn good workers!”

The city workers are kept busy with mowing, weedwacking, mowing, watering city flowers, mowing, cleaning up city lots, mowing, helping with city cleanup days, mowing, painting, and mowing. And with this year’s plentiful rainfalls, it is very obvious that most of their time is spent on the lawn mowers! The rain has created a lush, green, healthy vegetation this year, which of course, means a lot of outdoor maintenance. Thank you, Brooklyn and Jake!
