On the evening of 12/19/25, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a motor vehicle crash near the intersection of Hwy. #92 and CR. #12 near Terrebonne. Red Lake County deputies responded and found an unoccupied vehicle that was on its roof and severely damaged. Deputies located the driver, Noah Nathaniel Bergman (26) of Mentor at his residence. It was discovered that his father picked him up and brought him home. Investigation revealed Mr. Bergman had been consuming alcohol prior to crashing his vehicle and he was arrested. He was transported to the jail in Crookston, and he was booked for misdemeanor DWI and careless driving. He was released from custody the following morning and he will be summonsed to appear in Court in Red Lake Falls sometime in January. Shortly after midnight on 12/21/25, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a noise complaint at a Red Lake Falls residence. A Red Lake County deputy responded, spoke with the occupants of the residence, and they agreed to quiet down for the night. On the morning of 12/21/25, an individual reported they struck an unoccupied parked vehicle while they were driving on Main Ave. in Red Lake Falls. There were no injuries and the vehicles were moderately damaged. Crash reports were completed and given to the owners of the involved vehicles. On the morning of 12/22/25, Michael Joseph Engels (54) of Oklee was arrested in Oklee for violating the terms of his supervised probation. He was taken to the jail in Crookston. On the evening of 12/22/25, a Red Lake Falls resident reported someone had tampered with a vehicle that was parked behind their residence. They claimed that nothing was missing, nor was there any damage, but they requested extra patrol in the area. On the morning of 12/23/25, Courtney Nicole Gustafson (34) of Plummer was cited for expired motor vehicle registration and no proof of current motor vehicle insurance on Central Ave. in Plummer.
