Green Shirts and Grateful Hearts: Mother-Daughter Team Serves in Fort Myers

The beginning of my 14-yearold daughter Janaya’s and my mission trip was anything but smooth, marked by unexpected turns and travel bumps. Yet through Janaya’s steadfast prayers and God’s unwavering provision, we arrived safely in Fort Myers after 36 hours of adventurous travel. Those first 24 hours alone in Fort Myers were a sacred pause, a cleansing of the palate that quieted our hearts and prepared us for the work God had predestined. Our weekend Airbnb became a sanctuary of rest, where daily seafood meals and breathtaking sunsets offered peace as we awaited the arrival of our shortterm mission team from across Minnesota and a peaceful bridge into a week of service with ReachGlobal Crisis Response.
