Last week, I began telling you the entertaining story of the founding of Young’s General Store, starting with Hjertos and Dahlquist General Merchandise, on to the founding of Young’s General Store by Henry Young, followed by his son, Howard, taking over the store and expanding it. Now, I’d like to continue Howard’s story, the new generation to follow, the current owners, and paint you a bigger picture of the impact Young’s has made on the community over the last 120 years.
