A heartwarming afternoon of music, fellowship, and fun brought the community together in support of the Middle River– Thief Lake Living at Home program. The event was emceed by Mark Allen of TRF Radio, with Nathan Bukowski serving as the sound technician, ensuring every note and word was heard loud and clear.
Cindy Kilen, LAH Director took a moment to speak about the essential services the Living at Home program provides, including transportation for medical appointments, shopping, and errands; home-delivered meals; friendly visits (both in-home and by phone); exercise classes; social activities; and educational events that enrich the lives of area seniors.
The afternoon kicked off with an appearance by Miss Middle River, Kaydence Augustine, followed by a lively lineup of entertainment. Performers included Lois Anderson, Howard Hodne, Kelby and Karmyn Augustine, Justine Teie, Rose Strandlund, and Billy Wagner & Friends—which featured Lois Anderson, Howard Hodne, and Harry Scramstad. The crowd also enjoyed a heartfelt poetry reading by Howard Lunsetter, who shared his own original work.
Adding to the festive atmosphere were bag raffles and a 50/50 drawing managed by Tom Super. Sweet treats were on hand, with Kittson/Roseau Dairy Princess Katelyn Larson and Amya Stromsodt serving up ice cream sundaes—generously donated by the Marshall County Dairy Association.
It was a fun-filled, meaningful day that highlighted the strength and generosity of the local community. Thank you to everyone who joined in and supported this vital cause!
