Stay Focused. Stay Safe.
Distracted driving remains a serious threat on Minnesota roads. In 2024 alone, at least 29 fatal crashes and 137 serious injuries in the state were linked to distracted driving. Texting, adjusting the GPS, eating, or even just losing focus for a moment can lead to devastating consequences.
This April, take the time to check your habits behind the wheel. Set your phone to “Do Not Disturb,” get directions ready before driving, and save snacks or messages for later. Your full attention can save lives — including your own.
Law enforcement across Minnesota will be stepping up patrols this month as part of a statewide distracted driving campaign. Fines start at $100 for first offenses and climb quickly — but the real cost is far greater.
Let’s all do our part to keep the roads safe.
