Lake Trails, Wolf Ridge and Deep Portage Learning Center have similar missions to Get Kids Outdoors.
“We want to provide scholarship opportunities for children to experience outdoor activities, and these three organizations have a mission just like ours,” said Fred Parnow, Get Kids Outdoors President.
Parnow said they are collaborating to provide scholarships to camps for kids and families. “These scholarships will provide hands-on experiences for kids of all ages, from day camps, overnight stays or wilderness trips.” Natural spaces for collaboration, exploration and conservation continue to be at the heart of our mission, he said. “Whether it be in the woods, water or on the trails, we just want kids and families to discover Minnesota’s natural beauty.” Parnow said every camp combines classic fun with meaningful learning: campfires, crafts, and games meet all-day adventures, skill-building, and thrilling activities like rock climbing and ropes courses. “Give your child a summer of exploration, growth, and unforgettable fun.” Each location has general outdoor camps plus some focused curriculum and can be found on their websites.
