Six Pioneer Wrestlers Punch Ticket to NJCAA National Championships
The Northland Community & Technical College Pioneer Wrestling Team recently wrapped up the 2019-2020 regular season in spectacular fashion. The Pioneers walked away from the Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) North District Tournament held on February 23rd with team runner-up distinctions, one third-place finish, four individual runner-up awards, and a district champion at heavyweight class.
"This team set a new school record with six national qualifiers. It is in the conversation for being one of our best teams ever.” proclaims Pioneer Wrestling Head Coach Scott DCamp, “Getting multiple guys on the medal stand and/or getting all six wrestlers to score points at nationals will go a long way toward this team staking its claim as the best in program history."
