Seven drivers pick up opening night wins at GRP

A cool and breezy night greeted racers and fans as the Greenbush Race Park kicked off the 2019 race season for the WISSOTA Dirt Track Series.

Ten of eleven Modifieds took the green flag for their 20 lap feature and it was West St. Paul, Mb., driver Shawn Teunis who was in command early. Starting outside row one, Teunis built about a half straightaway lead over the rest of the pack and never looked back, as the race ran caution free and Teunis would go on to pick up his first ever Modified win at the Race Park. Justin Bronk of West St. Paul, Mb., would come home second and win his heat with a good battle for the third and fourth spot between Dustin Wahl of Greenbush, Mn., and Rick Delaine of Stony Mtn., Mb. Wahl would win that battle for the podium finish.
