BGMR/Freeze Track Team Starts Out Strong

The BGMR/Freeze Track team competed in the Quentin Jones Invitational on April 23 with some very positive things happening according to coach Terri Peterson. “Weston Bring broke the pole vault record with a jump of 12’6”, breaking the old record of 12’0” held by Logan and Mason Bring. Brooke Olson ran a 12:47 3200M run which is only 5 seconds off the 1985 standing record of 12:42. Brady Skeim and Leo Bringplaced in shot and discus in a large field of athletes with Leo placing 3rd and receiving a medal. Her potential is coming through along with her hard work and determiniation. We have brought in a triple jump coach to specifically work with the jumpers and they are improving with every meet. Next week is a busy week for us with a Thursday meet in Warroad and a Friday meet in East Grand Forks.”
