Muriel "Loretta" Voll
Loretta was born on October 5, 1934 in Williams, MN to Ellen (McGuire) and Raymond LaValla. She grew up on the forty-acre farm north of Williams, the 5th to the youngest of a large family. She married Henry Voll on October 19, 1952. They farmed for over 50 years in Norland Township. They also operated the Roseau Locker Plant for many years. Loretta had a daycare service for 17 years, caring for over 100 children. She also enjoyed working in her large vegetable and flower gardens. Norland Church was known as the little church with a big heart, and that reflects the way Loretta lived her life. She was a big heart for the Salol Community.
