Sharon Edin, 71 of Stephen, MN passed away peacefully and suddenly on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at her residence.

The service to celebrate Sharon’s life will be at 2:30 PM on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at the Evangelical Free Church in Newfolden, MN with Pastor Gary Barrett officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Sharon Kay Edin was born April 15, 1948 in Kelliher, MN the daughter of Moril and Irene (Wolden) Olson. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Kelliher. She attended Kelliher Public School graduating with the class of 1966. Following high school, Sharon attended Bemidji State College for one year.

After college, Sharon moved to Minneapolis, MN where she worked at Control Data and in the early 1970’s returned to live in Kelliher. She worked at Tap A Keg as a waitress in Kelliher until moving to Stephen, MN in 1982. There, Sharon worked at Club 75 and worked for Valley Spuds for many years. In 1995 she began working at D & D Commodities in Stephen and was there for over twenty years until her retirement on October 2, 2015.

Sharon was very organized at her home and in her life. She had a very special relationship with her son, Jason; she made lunch for the two of them every day. Sharon enjoyed reading, word find puzzles, crossword puzzles and playing scratch-offs, lottery and the casino. When her grandchildren started into sports and school events, she never missed; she was very proud of her grandchildren. At Christmas time Sharon enjoyed making fruit cake, chocolate covered cherries, and putting together ginger bread houses with her grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered by the Christmas ornaments she bought for her grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Each spring Sharon loved to teach her grandchildren how to properly plant a beautiful flower garden at their home.

Survivors include her loving son, Jason (Jill) Edin; grandchildren, Storm, Sunny, Shylo, and Shadi Edin all of Newfolden, MN; siblings, Susan (Peter) Capano of Manchester, NH and Clinton (Linda) Olson of Kelliher, MN; and two nieces, two nephews and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents.
