Helen Johnson

Helen Helena Johnson, 96, of Aurora passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2019 in Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

She was born to Matti and Paulina Korpi Leskinen on April 1, 1923 in Middle River, MN. She was a retired accountant and was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Aurora.

Survivors include one daughter, Jeanette Allmon of Aurora; 4 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Myron; an infant son; three brothers, Norman, Raymond and Edwin Leskinen and two sisters, Thelma Ness and Tyyne Sorter.

Funeral services were held Monday, August 19 at 10:30 a.m. in the Grace Lutheran Church under the care of Peterson Funeral Chapel. Visitation was held for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Maple Park Cemetery.
