Virgil Wagner receives a “Quilt of Valor

At the 9th District American Legion Auxiliary District Convention, held in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota June 7 & 8, Virgil Wagner of Middle River received a “Quilt of Valor”. The quilts are made for active and Veteran Service members touched by the war. The card attached to the quilt reads:

Dear Hero,

As a small Community in Northern Minnesota, we want you to know how much we appreciate your service and sacrifice. Your quilt was hand made by mothers, sisters, wives and friends much like those you left to serve your country and its ideals. We are truly grateful and it is our hope that the quilt will comfort you.
