Trails to Treatments Wraps Up a Banner Year

To call Middle River a “Small Town with a Big Heart” seems apropos following last Friday evening’s (October 14) celebration of all those who helped make the 2016 Trails to Treatments Labor Day Weekend Cancer Benefit and Ride a success. Of course, not all who had a hand in the event could attend, but more than 80 people made the trek to the American Legion in Middle River for a “Thank You” supper and the announcement that all were waiting for. Just how successful was the benefit? Could the organization possibly top the staggering $50,000 amount raised the year before? Indeed, suspense was in the air.
