Marshall County Area Veterans Memorial Park

The Marshall County Area Veterans Memorial Park (MCAVMP) Committee was formed with the purpose of preserving the history, telling the story, and honoring the sacrifice of the veterans who have served our great nation. The park will honor all veterans from Marshall County and its surrounding area. The park’s construction will begin with granite and concrete on the Marshall County Courthouse lawn, located west of the courthouse. Additionally, the plan will continue inside the courthouse. A wall mural will aide in highlighting a designated area where a TV kiosk and computer will be available to look up history of those that have served, display interviews with area veterans, and give families a chance to get glimpses of the person behind the service member. We will also have a map on site to aid those traveling to the various memorials throughout the area.

The MCAVMP started with a vision and has grown to be a county wide, area wide project, inclusive of all the Marshall County and area veterans. The purpose of the MCAVMP Committee is to not only recognize all veteran memorials within Marshall County, but to add to our appreciation and gratitude with another venue that says thank you.
