American Legion Post 427 Sponsors Annual Veteran’s Day Program

The American Legion Post 427 sponsored their annual Veteran’s Day program on Monday afternoon at the MCC High School gymnasium in Newfolden.
Keynote speaker for the Veteran’s Day program was Major Dave Hughes of Karlstad. He is a 21 year Active Duty retired U.S. Air Force pilot and Iraqi War combat veteran. Along with the speakers and muscial performances, Melanie Boe of the Newfolden Grateful Hearts Quilts of Valor Foundation gave a presentation “Quilts Of Honor” as shown below.
