Meet the MultiFaceted Mark Stromsodt - Mark Allen - Mayor Mark - Microphone Mark ....ah heck, just say “Middle River Mark”

Even though it seems that Mark Stromsodt has been a part of Middle River since the day he was born, he was actually born to parents Lenis and Vonna in McVille, ND and grew up on a farm 13 miles northeast of Cooperstown. He has two older sisters, Tammy and Charlene and two younger brothers, Michael and Peter.

He attended Cooperstown Public School from first to twelfth grades, graduating in 1983. He played legion baseball, and football, serving as team captain, and participated in track, holding the pole vault record for many years ((on a sidenote Mark says this was probably because no one else dared try it!)). He also participated in a TV station and radio station within the school and remembers playing Abba’s Dancing Queen quite a bit. He also achieved the status of being a member of National Honor Society.

He always stayed busy with many part time jobs - farmed, mowed lawns, worked at school, and worked for Corps of Engineers at Baldhill dam.
